BaliMurphy

Since 1999, BaliMurphy have gradually shaped their musical style, mixing folk and rock sounds to a French song full of tender and cynical poetry. Active for more than 15 years in the Francophone music scene, and thanks to the energy it released during his concerts, it is on stage that the band has conquered its loyal audience. Their unique style, mixing folk and French songs, guitars and violins, rock sounds, festive atmospheres and melancholy accents, has led them to Belgium, France, Switzerland, and sometimes even across the Atlantic, in the Baltic Sea, in the Mediterranean or on the Volga.

“Les Voiles”, their last album, wants to be a synthesis between the very folk spirit of “Poussière” (2007) and the contributions of “La Rout” (2012). Among other novelties, the guitarist Remi Rotsaert (Dalton Telegram) joined the group for rendering the sound more “rock”.

At Botanique, when the album was released in April 2017, the Rotonde initially planned was too small and it was necessary to open the doors of the Orangery to respond to the demand of the public, eager to hear the band. At the AB in February 2018, BaliMurphy played a surprising “best of” show, magnifying their songs with various collaborations (trumpet, violin, cello and bassoon as well as the voices of Faon Faon), for an enchanting evening!
